In that regard, it makes sense that Rundgren's possessive has been stripped from Utopia's name, since the band no longer sounds like an indulgent spin-off of his own albums. The album also heralded a dramatic maturation in the band's music, away from the synth-pop brand with which it was unjustly seared following the debut, and towards a complex, enveloping pop sophistication. With Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy, Corea continues his streak of simply timeless fusion albums. Such quandaries and questions make RA intriguing, even if it's not particularly good, or listenable for that matter. Look Sharp!
