Başak GÖK (Ph.D) Gazi Üniversitesi'nde fizik eğitimi alanında lisans ve yüksek lisans derecelerine sahiptir. Çok disiplinli araştırmalara olan ilgisi onu yönetim bilişim sistemlerine yönlendirmiştir. Yönetim bilişim sistemleri alanında ikinci yüksek lisans ve doktora derecesine sahiptir. Araştırma ilgi alanları arasında yeni teknolojiler, yönetim bilgi sistemleri, veri madenciliği, veri analizi, performans değerlendirme, uzaktan eğitim, hizmet kalitesi, verimlilik analizi, ölçek geliştirme ve yapısal eşitlik modellemesi yer almaktadır. 2009 yılından itibaren Gazi Üniversitesi'nde öğretim görevlisi olarak görev yapmaktadır. Amerika'da Texas Tech Üniversitesi'nde doktora sonrası misafir araştırmacı olarak 6 ay görev yapmıştır. Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri Bölümü'nde misafir öğretim görevlisi olarak hizmet vermiştir. Halen Gazi Üniversitesi Uygulamalı Bilimler Fakültesi'nde Yönetim Bilişim Sistemleri'nde öğretim görevlisi olarak çalışmalarına devam etmektedir.
