İngilizcede bazı fiiller / eylemler +ing eki almaz ve her zaman Geniş Zamanda (Simple Present Tense) yapısı ile kullanılır. Bu eylemler içinde bulunduğumuz anda kullanılsa da +ing eki almazlar. Bunlara eylem bildirmeyen / durum bildiren fiiller denir.
Bunların bazıları;
like love want need | hate hear see smell | taste understand know believe | have (sahip olma anlamında) sound look (görünmek anlamında) think (inanmak anlamında) |
A: Do you love dogs?
B: Yes, I love them a lot.
A: Does Mary need help?
B: No, she doesn't need our help now.
