s. Toplumların kültürel mirası olan el sanatlarının tespiti ve incelenmesi, geleneksel ürünlerin gelecek kuşaklara aktarılması açısından araştırmaya değerdir. Bu çalışmada, Bolu ili Mengen ilçesinde bulunan tel kırma işlemeli ürünlerin özellikleri incelenerek belgelenmiş ve yeni tasarım örnekleri ortaya konulmuştur. Bolu ili Mengen ilçesinde araştırma kapsamına alınan 45 adet tel kırma işlemeli ürünün; tür, boyut, uygulanan teknik, kullanılan gereç ve renk, motif ve kompozisyon özellikleri hakkındaki bilgiler incelenerek belgelenmiş, motif ve kompozisyon çizimleri yapılarak bilgi formunda yer almıştır. Mengen ilçesinde tel kırma işlemelerini çoğunlukla ilkokul mezunu, orta yaş ve üstü ev hanımların yaptığı ifade edilmiştir. Tel kırma işlemeli kırk adet başörtü, iki adet peşkir, bir adet namaz başörtüsü, bir adet yatak örtüsü ve bir adet çarşaf araştırma örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Ürün boyutlarının kullanım amacına ve türüne göre değiştiği anlaşılmıştır. Ayrıca tel kırma işlemeli ürünlerin en yaygın kullanım biçiminin yörede "telli poğ" adı verilen başörtüsü olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tel kırma işlemelerinin poğ bezi adı verilen yöresel dokuma kumaş üzerine + (artı) puan tekniğinde işlendiği görülmüştür. Ürünlerdeki işlemelerin motifleri incelendiğinde, en çok kullanılan ana motif olarak üzüm yaprağı, ara motif olarak ise tek geçim motifi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Kompozisyon özelliklerine bakıldığında, en fazla atlamalı sıralama şeklindeki kompozisyon düzeninin kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Kenar temizleme tekniği olarak ise en fazla pullu ve boncuklu firkete oyası uygulanmıştır. Mengen ilçesinde bulunan tel kırma işlemelerindeki gereç, teknik, motif ve kompozisyon özellikleri dikkate alınarak yeni tasarımlar oluşturulmuştur. Geleneksel bağlamda sadece başörtüsü, peşkir, namaz başörtüsü, yatak örtüsü ve çarşafta kullanıldığı tespit edilen tel kırma işlemelerine ek olarak, farklı işlevlerde kullanılmak üzere havlu, sehpa örtüsü, fular, kutu, toka, kolye, çanta, lavanta torbası, cüzdan ve kese üzerine tel kırma işlemeleri uygulanmış ve yeni tasarım örnekleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. The identification and examination of handicrafts, which are regarded as cultural heritage of societies, have features worth investigating for transferring traditional products to future generations. In this study, the features of wirework embroidery products in the Mengen district of Bolu province have been documented after examined and new design examples have been presented. Information about 45 Wirework embroidery products such as the type, size, applied technique, materials used and colors, motifs and composition features were examined and documented in the scope of the study in the Mengen district of Bolu province, motifs and composition drawings were made and put into the information form. It has been stated that wirework embroidery products in the Mengen district are mainly made by primary school graduates, middle aged and above housewives. The wirework embroidery products as sample of the study consists of forty headscarves, two peşkir, one prayer headscarf, one bedspread and one bed sheet. It has been understood that the product dimensions vary according to the intended use and type. In addition, it has been identified that the most common way of using the wirework embroidery products is the headscarf called "wired pog" in the district and it is seen that the wirework embroidery is worked with + (plus) point technique on the fabric called the pog cloth. When the motifs of the wirework embroidery products are examined, it is identified that the main motif is the grape leaf and the intermediate motif is the single-pass motif. According to the compositional features of the wirework embroidery products, it is identified that the composition scheme with the skip-ordering was used mostly. As the edge cleaning technique, scaled and beaded hairpin embroidery was applied mostly. New designs have been created by taking into account the features of the tools, techniques, motifs and composition of the wirework embroidery products in the Mengen district. In addition to the wirework embroidery products, which are found to be used only on headscarves, prayer headscarves, bedspreads and the bed sheets, in the traditional context, wirework embroideries were applied on a towel, a coffee table cover, a foulard, a box, a buckle, a necklace, a bag, a lavender bag, a wallet and a pouch, and new design examples were created.
